HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi met the outgoing Ambassador of South Korea to Qatar Chung keejong in Doha yesterday. The Minister praised the efforts of the South Korean ambassador in enhancing relations between his country and Qatar. A number of ranking officials at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs attended the meeting.
Qatar, Sri Lanka ties reviewed
HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi met a Sri Lankan delegation led by undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Employment G S Withanage, in Doha yesterday.
Talks dealt with aspects of co-operation between Qatar and Sri Lanka and means to develop them, in addition to matters of interest to both countries.
Advisory Council holds meeting
The Advisory Council held its weekly session under the Council’s Chairman HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
The council reviewed a draft law regulating tenders and decided to refer it to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee for a report thereon to the Council.
The Council reviewed a report by the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee a draft law amending some provisions of Law No 17 of 2010 regulating the National Human Rights Committee and decided to refer a recommendation thereon to the cabinet.
