Message for Sudanese FM

Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Ahmed Karti has received a message from HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah connected with relations between Qatar and Sudan and means of developing them.
The message was handed over by Qatar’s Ambassador to Sudan Rashid bin Abdurrahman al-Nuaimi during a meeting yesterday with the Sudanese minister.
Separately, Sudan’s Vice-President Hassabo Mohamed Abdul Rahman met Qatar’s Ambassador Rashid bin Abdurrahman al-Nuaimi yesterday. They discussed relations between Qatar and Sudan.

Envoy presents credentials

HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah received a copy of the credentials of the new ambassador of South Korea to Qatar Heong Keong yesterday. The Foreign Minister wished the new ambassador success in his mission.


Man jailed for using stolen ATM card

A Nepalese man was sentenced to one year in prison, followed by deportation for using a stolen ATM card to withdraw QR1,150, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday. A Doha Criminal Court also convicted him for stealing QR900 from the owner of the ATM card. The victim, who used to share a room with the accused, had kept his ATM card and personal identification number in a bag. Later, he found that they were stolen along with a sum of QR900.
On further investigation and review of the bank surveillance cameras, the accused was identified and arrested. He also confessed to the crime.
