HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah met the French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and his accompanying delegation, in Doha yesterday.
They discussed relations between the two countries in addition to other topics of mutual interest.
French Ambassador to Qatar Eric Chevallier and Qatari Armed Forces senior officers attended the meeting.
Farewell ceremony for Chinese envoy
HE the Foreign Minister’s Assistant for International Cooperation Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim al-Thani held a farewell ceremony for outgoing Chinese ambassador to Qatar Gao Youzhen.
A number of heads of diplomatic delegations accredited to the country attended the ceremony along with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Real estate transactions
The total trading value in the real estate sales contracts registered with the Land Registry Department of the Ministry of Justice from 5 to 16 April reached QR3.2bn.
According to the weekly bulletin issued by the department, the real estate sales included lands, shopping centres, houses, residential complexes and towers.
The sales were centred at the municipalities of Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakira , Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Al Zain and Al Wakrah.
