Fans at the Audi-hosted premiere of Avengers: The Age of Ultron at the Villaggio mall.
Q-Auto, the official dealer of Audi in Qatar, recently invited Audi owners and enthusiasts to the premiere of Avengers: The Age of Ultron, at Villaggio.
The premiere was attended by more than 150 movie-goers who were the first in Qatar to watch the next-generation Audi R8, the new Audi TTS and the Audi A3 Cabriolet vehicles alongside the popular Avengers characters on the big screen.
Recently unveiled in Qatar, the TTS boasts of a “dramatic design, pronounced dynamics and groundbreaking technology”, according to a statement.
Many details in the profile of the new coupé are reminiscent of the first-generation design classic. The model is powered by a 286hp 2.0 TFSI engine and takes only 4.6seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100kph with a top speed of 250kph.
Audi Qatar general manager Anthony Kwan said: “We are delighted to host the Avengers movie premiere for Audi fans in Qatar. The Audi brand has once again returned to the big screen as the vehicle of choice for our favourite Avengers superheroes. Just like Marvel’s celebrated characters, each of our Audi models has become an icon in popular culture. When it comes to performance, power and cutting-edge technology, both Audi and Marvel’s superheroes never fail to impress.”
Avengers: Age of Ultron is the second instalment of the movie trilogy based on the Marvel Comics superhero team. Audi is a familiar brand to this franchise and characters like Tony Stark highlight the “incomparable technology, performance, and design of the celebrated Audi vehicles”, the statement adds.
The brand has been an integral part of Stark’s character in the past three Iron Man movies, with the Audi R8, R8 Spyder, R8 e-tron, A8L, S7 Sportback, S5 Coupe and the Q7 models making a grand appearance on screen.
Audi is the leading sponsor of the world premiere of Avengers: The Age of Ultron and the promotional partner of the movie’s release worldwide. The brand is in its eighth year of partnership with Marvel Studios.
