‘A Golden Prayer’, by Mohammed Muslim Rafiuddin, has won the third instalment of the Gulf Times Instagram contest.

Rafiuddin, 44, from Hyderabad in India, is a health information and communications technology project manager. He has been living in Qatar for six years and began photography with a Nokia mobile camera, progressing to a point-and-shoot camera.
He has won several photography awards including the Gulf Times Society Photography Awards 2013, and the UK Qatar Friendship Photography Award 2014.
Rafiuddin says the winning entry is special to him as his father is the man in the photograph and he dedicates this achievement to him.
A total of 62 Instagram followers of Gulf Times liked ‘A Golden Prayer’, making it the winning entry out of 25 photographs.

The fourth instalment of the Instagram competition starts today. Send in your photos shot in Qatar to tellus@gulf-times.com
Selected pictures will be posted on the Gulf Times Instagram account, with the name of the photographer mentioned.
The picture that gets the maximum number of likes and comments during a seven-day period will be declared the winner.
A like will get the picture one mark and a comment will fetch two marks.
The winning picture will be published in the Gulf Times print edition as well as on the web edition of Gulf Times, along with a short bio of the photographer.
A winner will be announced every fortnight. So shutterbugs shoot and send now!
