HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday met with Senator John McCain, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee of the US Congress, and a number of the committee members. The meeting reviewed relations between the two countries and prospects for developing mutual co-operation. It also exchanged views on developments in the Middle East region, especially those related to Yemen and Syria. Members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir attended the meeting. The Emir arrived in Washington on Monday to participate in the GCC summit with US President Barack Obama at Camp David this week.
