Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has received a written message from HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani pertaining to bilateral relations between Pakistan and Qatar and means of bolstering them.
Qatar’s ambassador to Islamabad Saqr bin Mubarak al-Mansouri handed the message yesterday during a meeting with the Pakistani premier.
Deputy Emir to attend QU graduation event

Under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani will attend the graduation ceremony of 38th batch of Qatar University’s male students at Qatar National Convention Center today.
HH Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim al-Thani, wife of HH the Emir, will patronise the graduation ceremony of Qatar University’s female students at Qatar National Convention Centre on Thursday.
Nepal thanks Qatar for quake aid

Qatar’s ambassador to Nepal Ahmed Jassim al-Hamar met with Nepal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey here yesterday.
The foreign minister of Nepal thanked Qatar for sending relief material to the people of Nepal after the devastating earthquake that hit the country recently.
Qatar’s ambassador expressed Qatar’s regret over the loss in lives and damage to infrastructure following the earthquake.
Cost of recruiting maids in Qatar ‘lowest in GCC’
The cost of recruiting house maids in Qatar is among the lowest in GCC countries, a Qatar Chamber official has clarified.
Ali Hamad Afifa, a member of the workers’ recruitment office at Qatar Chamber, made the statement in response to a report published recently in local Arabic daily Al Watan on the cost of recruiting maids in Qatar.
He said the report actually referred to a five-month-old post on WhatsApp.
The labour market in Qatar is open and recruitment fees charged by service providers are highly competitive, it has been observed.
Al-Kuwari holds talks with Arabic culture panel
HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz al-Kuwari met members of the permanent committee for Arab culture, who are currently visiting Doha.
They discussed the current condition of Arabic culture.
They also discussed preparations for hosting the 20th conference of Arab ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab world. The conference will focus on cultural media in the Arab world.
