QIIB’s new state-of-the-art branch opens at Al Khor

Sheikh Dr Khalid with al-Shaibei and other dignitaries at the new state-of-the-art QIIB branch at Al Khor, which was inaugurated yesterday.

QIIB has opened a state-of-the-art branch at Al Khor, promising to provide “customer-friendly, modern and fully Shariah-compliant” products and services to its growing clientele in the city and suburbs.
The branch was formally opened yesterday by QIIB chairman and managing director Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdulla al-Thani in the presence of CEO Abdulbasit Ahmed al-Shaibei, bank directors and other dignitaries.
Sheikh Dr Khalid urged the Al Khor branch staff to keep the interests of customers in mind while serving them in accordance with the best standards adopted by the bank. He reminded them that Al Khor was in need for more quality banking services from various categories of customers.
The new QIIB branch is located at a “vantage location” in Al Khor, close to the main street, where the bank said “different types of customers can take advantage of the bank’s customer-centric and high-quality integrated banking services.”
At the opening ceremony, al-Shaibei said, “We are very pleased with the opening of Al Khor branch, especially that it is a new step within the strategy of local expansion carried out by QIIB, which has seen an accelerated pace since the beginning of this year. This is the third branch that we have opening today since the beginning of 2015; the first two being Muaither and the Corporate Branch.
“QIIB Al Khor branch is a qualitative addition to the bank’s distribution network. Given the rapid economic development of the region and its future prospects, we are encouraged to support and meet the banking needs of Al Khor and its neighbouring areas. It is also our endeavour to keep serving our existing customers and attract new customers.”
The CEO pointed out that the “Al Khor branch was designed in such a way to fully comply with the renewed vision of QIIB and in harmony with the spirit and essence of Qatari traditions and values and the development achieved by Qatar and the modernisation seen in the country.
“Our customers will not only get to see a state-of-the-art design in our Al Khor branch but also can experience quality, personalised and comprehensive banking services at the branch.”
Al-Shaibei noted that Al Khor, like other QIIB branches, “has been equipped with the latest banking technology and software”, where customers will be able to benefit from the various products and services that the bank offers. This, he hoped, will satisfy them and meet their banking needs.
The CEO said QIIB gives “utmost importance” to the bank’s expansion by laying focus on quality.
“We are keen to align the opening of our new branches with distinctive quality of products and services. This is done in two ways; the first one is to develop products and services that suit the different segments of customers, and second is to attract distinct competencies to work in addition to continuously train our staff based on the best standards.”
QIIB has chosen a highly professional team to work in Al Khor and the staff members have adequate experience and capability to serve all categories of customers and meet their needs for quality products and services.
The new branch operates from Sunday to Thursday between 7:30am and 1:00pm.
