Kendran now available in major bookstores across Qatar


Kendran, a novel in Malayalam, written by Gulf Times’ staff member Sabu KC and published by National Book Stall was released in Qatar recently and is now available at all major bookstores in the country. It is also available at LuLu Hypermarket. The book was launched during the recently-held Aksharapravasam 2015, organised by Kerala Sahithya Academy.  It was released by Perumbadavam Sreedharan, President of Kerla Sahithya Academy, who presented it to Doha-based literary activist KK Sudhakaran. Eminent writers of Malayalam including C Radhakrishnan, Poet Sachidanandan, Indu Menon, Prof Thomas Mathew and VA Kabeer were present on the occasion. The book portrays the changes in the lives of the people in the historical and legendary village of Thrikkakara in Kanayannoor Taluk of Ernakulam district in the Indian State of Kerala, over the years, due to technological innovations, advent of industries, trade and commerce. The book has already attracted the attention of Malayalam readers.
