The permanent steering committee at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce held a meeting with bakery owners at the newly launched Al Furjan markets to discuss the main problems delaying the opening of businesses.
The committee aims to resolve issues in co-operation with other government entities, so those investors commence their business activities as soon as possible.
The ministry also considers bakeries as one of the main services for the neighborhood where Al Furjan markets are located.
The bakery owners complained that unavailability of tools and machines in the local market, high cost of bakery supplies and equipment and shortage of skilled workers were the main hurdles in starting the business.
The ministry told them to expedite the process to open the businesses.
