The GCC Ministerial Committee for Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology will hold its 24th meeting at the St Regis Doha tomorrow.
The meeting will discuss several topics related to the development of the post, telecommunications and information technology sectors in the GCC member states and means of boosting co-operation.
The meeting will also discuss the outcomes and recommendations of the 26th Meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Under-Secretaries of Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology, which was held in Doha last month.
Indian fisherman dies of heart attack
A 38-year-old Indian fisherman died of heart attack in Qatar on Saturday evening, sources said. Identified as Jelestine, the victim complained of chest pain while his boat was anchored near Banana Island.Though he was rushed to the Hamad General Hospital, his life could not be saved, they explained. Efforts are on to take his body to his native place in Kannyakumari district in Tamil Nadu.
