Domasco launches Honda Odyssey J in Qatar


Domasco has  launched the all-new  Honda Odyssey J in Qatar.
The  new Honda Odyssey J, the next generation minivan that sets the bar in automobile sophistication, exuberates luxury and unrivalled comfort.
“We are very excited about the arrival of the all-new Odyssey J that will impress the luxury minivan segment,” said Faisal Sharif, Managing Director of Domasco, the official distributor of Honda in Qatar.
Odyssey J makes driving fun as well as provides great comfort, ample cargo space, intelligent features and exceptional utility with low fuel consumption.

The new Odyssey J has been launched keeping in mind the customer preferences of Middle East region. In fact, this will be the only region where both Odysseys will be available to suit different customer tastes. Its exterior design is based on “Solid Streamline” concept with an ultra-low platform to achieve an elegant and dynamically proportioned look while still mindful of the cabin space. The ultra-low floor design which sits only 300mm above the ground helps ease passenger entry and exit, unique to the new Odyssey J. The incorporation of LED headlights (EX-V), LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps are beautifully crafted and blend with functionality and safety.
It is also equipped with the standard power sliding doors on both sides with the addition of one touch technology at assistant side for the EX grade and both driver and assistant side for the EX-V grade. The one touch sliding door helps driver enter vehicle despite having both hands occupied.
The interior design is indicative of a hotel suite as it is primarily patterned to one based on its “Modern Suite Room” concept; easily described as elegant and high-class fitted with only the finest choice of materials. The new Odyssey J is able to accommodate seven passengers on the EX-V grade and eight passengers on the EX grade, comfortably with generous head, elbow and leg room.
New to Honda’s luxury minivan is the application of Captain Cradle Seats in the second row for the EX-V Leather grade which provides the ultimate in luxury travel with adjustable ottomans and armrests. The third row has individual headrests which provide comfort all around.
Besides, there are amenities and controls suited for all passengers’ comfort. The  new Odyssey J is equipped with a seven inch touch screen display audio system. In addition to the above, it boasts of a rear view camera, map light, Front A/c, Rear A/c and third row ultra-vents with an electrostatic touch type A/c control panel, map lights, and a whole host of other intelligent features.
The new Odyssey J is powered with the Earth Dreams Technology 2.4-liter, DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine and Continuous Variable Transmission. The new Odyssey J’s low centre of gravity offers an extremely comfortable ride and smooth driving performance. The engine combines outstanding torque of 225N-m @ 4000 rpm and generates an output of power of 173hp @ 6200 rpm.
Another feature of Odyssey J is the G-Design shift that has been engineered to give the Odyssey J a more natural and sporty feel. While accelerating, this system responds to the driver demands more quickly than conventional automatics and other CVT technologies.
The new Honda Odyssey utilises Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure technology to enhance occupant protection and crash compatibility. The new Odyssey boasts of improved rigidity. It also boasts of Honda active-safety features such as the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-Lock Brake Systems (ABS), Electronic Brake Distributor (EBD) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
Another highlight is the Blind Spot Information (BSI) System. This system lets out a large beep sound if there is an approaching vehicle as well as an indicator light will appear on the side view mirror cautioning the driver to take counter measure by keeping a safe driving distance.
The new Odyssey J has received a 5-star rating from the ASEAN NCAP as well as Australian for superior Adult Occupation Protection and safety performance.
It has introduced the base grade namely EX and the top grade EX-V with leather for the GCC region. It will be available in six colours.
