People gather around the wreckage of a bus which plunged off a mountain road into a gorge in Uttarakhand killing 14 people yesterday. The accident happened when the driver lost control, veering the bus off the road and into the canyon below in Almora district, some 370km from Dehradun, capital of the northern state. The bus was travelling from New Delhi to the town of Pithoragarh.
