The Ministry of Interior (MoI)’s Human Resources Department (HRD) has signed an agreement with malomatia, a leading provider of technology services and solutions in Qatar, to conduct remote training for employees of the ministry.
This is in line with new plans set out by the MoI to improve the capabilities of employees through different training methods, which are part of the efforts undertaken by the ministry to develop and modernise its work mechanism.
The agreement was signed by Brig Hussain Hasan al-Jaber, director of the Human Resources Department, and Yousef al-Naama, managing director of malomatia.
The signing ceremony was attended by Brig Badr Ibrahim al-Ghanim, director of the Technical Office for the Minister of Interior, Capt Ali Saud al-Henzab, head of the Training Section, HRD, and representatives of malomatia.
Brig al-Jaber said the remote training project, which will be launched in the beginning of next year, will serve more than 5,000 employees of the ministry in the first phase.
He stressed that the signing of the agreement comes with the intention of implementing the MoI’s strategy to prioritise training and qualification techniques, with the human element being the fundamental resource through which performance and services for the public are improved.
Elaborating on the new project, Capt al-Henzab said the idea is based on enabling employees to attain the planned training courses without having to attend the sessions. He explained that malomatia would provide a programme (application) for computers, iPads and smartphones and each employee would be given a password to unlock the training courses to be completed during the stipulated period.
The employee can learn “anytime, from anywhere”, and the programme will be available 24 hours a day.
Once an employee completes all the courses within the stipulated period, the Training Section will contact the trainee to undergo evaluation and certification.
