HE the Minister of Awqaf (Endowment) and Islamic Affairs Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak al-Kuwari opened on Sunday night the fourth edition of Ramadan Tent next to the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab Mosque.
Ramadan Tent is an annual occasion for the ministry to review its most prominent achievements and plans in the areas of advocacy, guidance, mosques, the training of imams, pilgrimage, endowments and Islamic affairs, technological applications, and cultural projects.
The tent includes pavilions for the different departments of the ministry to offer visitors an overview and introduction to the departments achievements and services. They also distribute brochures to visitors.
In press statements following the opening, HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs said that Ramadan Tent, launched four years ago, aims at highlighting the ministry’s achievements and activities.
He said that the Ministry of Awqaf was proud to celebrate the graduation of a group of Qatari imams every year. Their graduation is one of the ministry’s most prominent achievements.
The tent will present a copy of the third distinctive edition of “Mushaf Qatar” carried out by the ministry in a record time of three months, the minister said.
These activities encourage and motivate the various departments of the ministry to deliver their best. It is also an opportunity to strengthen co-operation and co-ordination with different bodies in the country, he added.
