Partial closure of Al Khalidya Street

Doha

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that a 425m stretch on Al Khalidya Street in Doha's Najma area will be closed to traffic from Monday due to major infrastructure development works there.

The closure will extend from the intersection with Al Hilal Street to the intersection with Al Mansoura Street.

The street, known among residents as the road where "Kuwait Building" is located, connects C-Ring Road with Al Mansoura Street.

Only the southbound lane towards C-Ring Road will be closed while the northbound lane, going towards Al Mansoura Street, will remain open.

The closure is being carried out to facilitate the upgrade of the existing sewage network in the area, according to Ashghal.

A partial closure on the same street will also take place at the intersection with C-Ring Road at the entrance of Al Khaldiya Street, northbound in the direction of Al Mansoura Street. A part of Al Saheb Bin Abbad Street, in both directions, as well as its access from Al Khalidya Street will also be closed to

traffic.

Another closure will also be in place in one direction on Al Kanari Street, towards Al Khalidya Street. Also, a part of Al Sanaa Street in both directions will be closed (see map).

The closures will start on Monday and continue until September 14.
