The Advisory Council discussed a report by the Internal and External Affairs Committee on a draft law regulating the entry, exit and residence of expatriates, also known as the sponsorship law, at the weekly meeting of its 34th session chaired by HE the Speaker Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
The meeting also discussed a report by the Services and Public Utilities Committee on the general discussion request on the cost of health insurance.
The Council decided to refer its recommendations to the Cabinet.
The Council’s Secretary-General then read out Emiri Decree No 35 of 2015 adjourning the 34th regular session of the Advisory Council as of Sunday, 25th of Ramadan 1436 AH, corresponding to 12 July 2015.
Later the Advisory Council Secretary-General gave a speech on the occasion in which he thanked HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani for his support to the Council and for the constructive co-operation in all the achievements of the Council.
