Her achievement is all the more impressive as she continues to storm back in her first major competition since giving birth. Ishchenko has completed her treble of golds in Kazan after also winning gold alongside Romashina in the duet technical routine last Sunday in the Kazan Arena.
The Russian pair struck gold in the duet free routine with a winning tally of 98.2 points ahead of Chinese pair Huang Xuechen and Sun Wenyan, who took silver with 95.9 pts. The Ukraine team of Lolita Ananasova and Anna Voloshyna took bronze with 93.6 pts.
