A flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) at 7am on August 15 to celebrate the 69th Independence Day of India.
On the occasion, Indian ambassador Sanjiv Arora will hoist the national flag and read the address of the Indian president to the nation. Students of Indian schools in Doha will participate in the programme.
The Indian embassy has invited all expatriates from the South Asian country to attend the flag-hoisting ceremony. Those attending the event have been requested to bring a photo ID.
The ceremony will take place at 7am on the ICC premises located on Street No 916, Wahb Bin Omair, Al Mamoura. Refreshments will be served to the attendees.
