Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met prominent NRI investors in Abu Dhabi yesterday.
Modi, now on a visit to the UAE, was briefed about the various projects the businessmen are investing in India. Led by Abu Dhabi Chamber director board member Yusuffali MA, the team updated the premier about the business scenario in the UAE and the excellent support extended by the rulers towards the Indian community.
They also informed him of the challenges faced by NRIs in investing in India. The premier urged the NRIs to redouble their efforts to bring more investments to their motherland, especially in infrastructure and related fields and highlighted the role of the “Make in India” programme for the country’s development.
