Doha: Ibn Ajayan Projects in association with How Automobiles organised Indo-Pak Friendship Cup, a two-match cricket series to commemorate Pakistan and India Independence Day on 14th and 15th August at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Industrial Area.
The event was organised to promote friendship and sportsman spirit among the expat communities in Qatar. The teams were formed with some talented cricketers from India and Pakistani expat groups and were named as India Royals and Pakistan Royals. Both the matches were won by India Royals.
Mohsin and Mohammed Favas from India Royal team were man of the match in the first and second match respectively. Both were awarded gift vouchers of QR1,500 and trophies.
Ajayan Mohamed al-Ahbabi, Vice Chairman-Ibin Ajayan Group said his company was keen to support more such events to promote cricket in Qatar.
