In addition, he mentioned how QC sponsored more than 1,500 orphans and offered them entertaining, cultural and financial services. He also spoke about QC’s role in reducing the phenomenon of unemployment by implementing income-generating projects.

On the occasion, QC held a ceremony where it provided basic needs to the large number of participating orphans and other beneficiaries such as the Albanian-Qatari centre and Albanian-Qatari School’s students.
Further, al-Fahida visited the Rubik Mosque project, one of the three mosques QC is currently building in Albania.
He also met with Albanian minister Blendi Klosi, who praised QC and commended its efforts, especially in the fields of education and culture. He took stock of the conditions of displaced Syrians and refugees there and also reviewed the final stages of the Madinat Al Rayyan (Al Rayyan City) project, funded by QC in co-operation with IHH, a strategic partner. The opening of the first phase is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Al-Fahida met Salem bin Mubarak al-Shafi, Qatar’s ambassador to Turkey, who spoke about the efforts exerted by QC to alleviate the sufferings of Syrians both within and outside Syria.
