Bringing the best of South Asian fashion and design in apparel and jewellery to town, Elegance Collection has opened its first outlet, Zainab’s Jewellery and Dresses, at Al Rawnaq Trading Center. Offering branded jewellery and dresses, the one-stop fashion outlet was recently inaugurated by Rema S Kumar, a prominent member of the Indian community, in a colourful ceremony.
Personally appreciating the collection, the chief guest cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the outlet, showcasing Indian and Pakistani readymade, semi-stitched and unstitched dresses. Elegance Collection will stock both wholesale and retail products.
Kumar particularly praised the jewellery collection at the shop and urged people to visit the outlet for a full view of an exclusive collection of jewels and gems besides the wide range of clothing brands from India.
“By introducing trendy designs at affordable prices with special discounts and catering to daily casual and party needs with a particular focus on the latest fashion and design, we are making every effort to ensure high standards at our first outlet in Doha,” said Syed Naqi, the owner of the shop.
Dealing in ladies’ designer wear gowns, Kurtis, Anarkalis, Sarees for brands such as Jinaam, Heroine, Flora, Aura, Fiona, Eliza, MF, RSF, Zoya and Malaika Arora Khan, the shop stocks a wide range of Anarakalis for girls of all ages.
The newly opened outlet will also provide home delivery and tailoring services for all its dresses to its customers, said Naqi.
“For Eid al-Adha, we have brought in special jewellery designs which would be rarely available in town at such affordable prices. Adorned with exuberant gems and stones, these jewellery designs are bound to make your heart skip a beat. We also have a large stock of clothes’ designs for the special occasion ready at our shop,” Naqi told Community.
Elegance Collections, owned and run by Naqi, has on display beautiful gold and rhodium-plated sets with rubies, emeralds, jade, real pearls and other semi-precious stones on them.
From Hyderabad in India, Naqi has been living in Doha for over six years. With some experience in jewellery design, he has been holding exhibition of clothes and elegant jewellery sets through the platform of his brand Elegance Collections in Doha for more than three years.
Elegance Collection has been holding its own exhibitions besides participating in events bazaars and weekend markets including the ones held at Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park. However, it is the first time they have opened their outlet.
“Our brand is already well known among the local communities and we have been attracting huge crowds at our prior exhibitions. People particularly love our jewellery designs and [our patrons] include members of Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Sri Lankan, and Indian communities in Qatar,” said Naqi.
The owner of Elegance Collection said most of the jewellery and dress brands come from India while some Kurtis and Anarkalis are imported from Pakistan. Anarkalis, however, are hugely popular among the customers besides the brand Zoya, he added.
The shop has an attractive display area with Indian and Pakistani gowns in full view to attract more customers. The outlet is currently running a 10% discount on its stock until Eid al-Adha, to celebrate its opening.
Naqi is encouraging people to make full use of the opportunity and visit the shop for their Eid shopping. A special attraction, he said, is the exclusively available 3-dimensional bedsheets. “These are 100 percent cotton bedsheets with 3D colour patterns and these sheets would not be available anywhere else in Qatar,” claimed Naqi.
