The Beaches and Islands Section at the Ministry of Municipality & Urban Planning has removed tyres, fishing nets, metal nets and submerged objects from the Al Shamal port. The campaign also involved clearing the wharf of plastic cans and wooden items, besides putting up warning notices on a number of abandoned boats ordering their removal by the owners.
