Mashreq Qatar has been recognised as “Best Digital Bank in Qatar 2015” for the seventh consecutive year by New York-based Global Finance magazine.
Mashreq Qatar head of Retail Banking Niranjan Mendonca said the award is testament to the bank’s efforts to offer “an innovative, efficient, and unique online platform to its customers”.
The bank has introduced innovative banking solutions and products offered on MashreqOnline, including the “Advance Fixed Deposit”, a “unique” and tailor-made savings product where customers can receive interest for the entire term paid to them on day one.
Another product offered on MashreqOnline, “DreamSaver”, is a savings account that enables and encourages customers to save regularly to achieve a pre-defined financial goal.
Mendonca said: “Over the years, we have been focused on offering innovative banking solutions and efficient offerings to our customers. We value our customer’s time and in return, we offered a platform that can service customers from the comfort of their homes or offices.

Another smart solution offered on MashreqOnline is a user-friendly online banking service for small and medium-sized enterprises – “SME Direct”, which allows SMEs to define financial and authorisation limits, initiate trade related requests, and view import and export bills as bulk payments to beneficiaries.
The “overseas mobile top up” and “automatic utility bill payment” are other services offered on MashreqOnline help customers instantly top up international mobile phones for Ooredoo and set up automatic bill payment for Kahramaa.
