The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation’s (Kahramaa) Electricity Project department has achieved 47mn work hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) in the first six months of the year. The figure includes both Kahramaa and its contractors. The total work hours without LTI for the period were achieved in Phase 10 and Phase 11 of Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion Projects. During the Phase 10, 34mn work hours were achieved while 13mn work hours were achieved for Phase 11. “Our safety achievement reflects Kahramaa’s commitment to creating a safe and secure workplace by setting high safety standards and ensuring operational excellence and caring for the environment. Kahramaa does not compromise on its safety standards,” president Essa bin Hilal al-Kuwari said.
