Qatar team in Kyrgyzstan to explore investment

HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for International Co-operation Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani has led a Qatari delegation that included representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Qatar Investment Authority, Qatar Development Fund and Qatar Mining to review investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan.
During the visit, the delegation met senior officials from investment entities in Kyrgyzstan under the chairmanship of Daniyar Sydykov, the state minister at the Kyrgyz foreign ministry.
The officials, including representatives from the ministries of energy, agriculture and municipality as well as the country’s mining company, the government commission on mining and the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, presented areas that Qatar can invest in, particularly in the fields of agriculture, mining and energy.
Kyrgyzstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Tayyrbek Sarpashev later held talks with Sheikh Mohamed.
They reviewed bilateral ties and ways to develop them, particularly in the economic field.
Costa Rica honour for Qatari envoy
Costa Rica Foreign Affairs Minister Manuel Gonzalez Sanz has received Qatar ambassador Jaber Ali al-Adhba on the occasion of the end of his tenure as extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Costa Rica.
The minister awarded the ambassador with the National Order of the Republic of Costa Rica, the highest national decoration.
Art workshops at Katara
Diverse educational workshops continue to be held at Katara Art Studios at Katara - the Cultural Village.
On September 10, Katara Art Studios will organise a workshop on silk painting for participants 10 -year- old and above.
A workshop on Batik basic and advanced is to be held on September 12, one on Ebru and marbling art for the basic and advanced levels on September 17, and a zentangle workshop on abstract painting on September 24.
Those interested in floral arrangement can attend the Roza harvest workshop on September 17.
