Elizabeth Fleming

The second Launch conference will be held from December 1 to 3 in Doha.
Launch is a series of associated learning events for Qatari nationals that focuses on developing the country’s future and existing leaders who are looking to enhance their career, further professional development and stay motivated.
The announcement follows the inaugural two-day Launch conference held on April 26-27 in Doha. More than 150 Qatari professionals from a range of leading Qatari-based companies, including Ooredoo, Commercial Bank, RasGas, Qatar University, Qatari Diar, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, beIN Sports and Injaz Qatar, participated in the event.
“The second conference will provide a unique and local platform for Qatari participants and includes a two-day conference as well as a third day of optional workshops for advanced pass-holders only, all centred around the theme, Mind and Motivation,” the organisers have said in a statement.
The first day of Launch will focus on “Mind”. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to selected speakers, attend a range of workshops and gain blended learning experiences.
The leading international and local speakers Launch participants will have the opportunity to listen to include Bothaina al-Ansari (Ooredoo), Abdulaziz al-Khalifa (Qatar Development Bank), Sharoq al-Malki (Commercial Bank), Issa al-Mohannadi (Qatar Tourism Authority) and an academic representative from HEC Paris.
Day 2 will focus on “Motivation”, as participants will attend workshops such as Power of Positivity, Building Leading Teams and Attitudes & Actions. Launch will conclude with interactive workshops on Day 3, which will be facilitated by industry professionals.
Launch is the brainchild of Elizabeth Fleming, managing director of Qatar Development and Consultancy Centre, and Isra al-Jefairi, founder of Growth.
“We are delighted to be hosting the second Launch Conference later in the year, especially as all of our participants were so dedicated and enthusiastic during the inaugural event,” said Fleming.
