Al Rayyan’s new attacking signing Sebastian Soria said at the QSL’s Media Day that he hopes to achieve the dream of all Rayyan fans by winning the league title this season.
“There is no doubt that the mission is not going to be easy at all, especially in view of the other clubs’ preparations. Our football team is under the leadership of Jorge Fossati, who had a lot of success with Al Sadd. He is doing great work and he will be crucial this season,” said the Uruguayan-born striker.
“I know that we have just gained promotion but with the players we have bought as well as the existing ones I feel we can achieve some success in the new season.”
Soria pointed out that Al Rayyan started their preseason preparations in the Netherlands where the team played many friendly matches allowing the players to gel. He added that that the preparations continued after the team returned to Doha with more friendly matches.
“We are training very hard for the league. I am very excited about representing Al Rayyan in the QSL. As I mentioned my goal with my teammates is to make the dream come true and win the league title for the club fans.”
The player stressed that he is confident that Al Rayyan will produce good performances during the new season. “We are ready for the new season especially with all the support from the fans and the club’s management and technical staff. Our aim is to please the fans; if we do that then I am sure we will do well this season.”
Commenting on the QSL’s Media Day, Soria said: “The staging of such activities is very important with regards to being professional and organised. This makes me even more excited to get started and hopefully win something this season.”
