Qatar hopeful on Iran nuclear deal

QNA/Vienna

Qatar has expressed the hope that the comprehensive joint plan of action on Iran’s nuclear programme would contribute to maintaining regional and international peace and creating a positive regional atmosphere, based on the principles of justice and international law, particularly the sovereign equality, mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs and joint action to achieve sustainable development for the peoples of the
region.
Qatar stressed the need to inform the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency on the implementation of the action plan and the road map first hand and to rely on its advice and extend support in order to overcome obstacles that may arise during the implementation.
Qatar also confirmed that the overall joint plan of action represents a major breakthrough which was welcomed by the international community, but the biggest achievement will be the implementation of the action plan with all its provisions, calling for the parties to the agreement and the IAEA to the advancement of their responsibilities and the implementation of the action plan honestly and in good faith.
This came in a statement delivered by ambassador Ahmed Hassan al-Hammadi, who is at  the IAEA Board of Governors meeting.
