Doha
A captivating night view of Doha is the winning picture of the 8th installment of Gulf Times Instagram Contest.
Shot by VP Rishad, a young architectural 3D designer, the impressive frame featuring the Souqs area with the illuminated Kassem Darwish Fakhroo Islamic Centre as its focal point, captures also the unending flow of the night traffic.
Rishad, 26, an Indian expatriate who arrived in Qatar three years ago, said he is winning a photography contest for the first time.

The 9th installment of the competition starts today. Send in your photos shot in Qatar to: tellus@gulf-times.com. Shortlisted pictures will be posted on the Gulf Times Instagram account, with the name of the photographer mentioned.
The picture that gets the maximum number of likes and comments during a seven-day period will be declared the winner.
A like will get the picture one mark and a comment will fetch two marks.
The winning picture will be published in the Gulf Times print edition as well as on the web edition of Gulf Times, along with a short bio of the photographer.
