The eighth meeting of GCC assistants of public prosecutors, attorneys-general and heads of public investigation bodies and the public prosecution began in Doha yesterday.
The meeting discussed several issues including a joint mechanism to inspect the work of GCC’s prosecutors and investigative bodies. It also discussed rules for child protection during investigations, mechanisms for implementing rules of mutual co-operation as well as implementation of arrest and warrants.
Names of winners of Award for Excellence for members of the GCC public prosecutions and investigation bodies will be adopted during the meeting.
Ibrahim Abdulla Saeed Abdulla al-Qubaisi, who is the chairman of the meeting, pointed to the efforts made by the public posecutions departments in the GCC.
