RasGas receives CSR Company of Year Award

Ali Mohamed al-Marri, manager in the Facilities Management Department, receives the award on behalf of RasGas.

RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) was recently honoured with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company of the Year Award at the sixth annual Arabian Business Qatar Awards.
RasGas was nominated by 157 local businessmen, industry leaders and influencers as a leading role model in CSR practices among various sectors and companies in Qatar.
This recognition follows the 2014 third place achieved at the regional Arabia CSR Awards.
The Arabian Business Awards is a premier event in the regional business calendar, which honours the biggest names in the Gulf business community, celebrating the best achievements both at the corporate and individual levels.
Hamad Mubarak al-Muhannadi, CEO of RasGas, said: “At RasGas, we take great pride in receiving such an important recognition for our positive contribution to the community, our commitment to sustainable development, spreading better practices and actively supporting Qatar National Vision 2030.
“RasGas considers corporate social responsibility as a core commitment, and as a global energy supplier we believe we have a prime role to play in the path to building a more sustainable future for our nation and the generations to come.
“This recognition is a further incentive to continue our CSR programme across the four cornerstones of community, education, environment and health.”
