Aspire Zone Foundation will host various events and activities to provide the local community an opportunity to celebrate Eid al-Adha with joyous spirits in an entertaining and exciting atmosphere.
In a press statement, Aspire Zone said it hopes its programme of activities this year will attract many residents as it aims to make the place an ideal destination for families during Eid.
Visitors will enjoy a variety of activities which will be held daily throughout Eid al-Adha between 4pm and 9pm. These include paddleboats in the lake at Aspire Park, train and horse-carriage tours, and pony rides at the park.
For Radio Control car lovers, the programme will also include a daily race near Aspire Zone roundabout throughout the Eid holiday.
“We are always keen to engage with the community on special occasions by facilitating all needs necessary to ensure that visitors enjoy sporting, entertainment, and community activities in a joyful atmosphere,” Aspire Zone events manager Abdulla al-Khater said.
“We see ourselves not being only a sports destination, but also a place where families can meet, gather and make memories,” he added.
Aspire Zone will open its fields and courts throughout the holiday period for sports enthusiasts to practice their favourite sport.
Players and enthusiasts will have the chance to play at the public football pitches (the park and near Khalifa Stadium), tennis courts in the ladies’ club, and multi-purpose facility for basketball and volleyball in Aspire Park (require pre-registration at www.lifeinaspire.qa)
Aspire Zone will also offer its visitors additional activities such as cycling at the Aspire Zone area. Bicycles can be rented and used at the dedicated area near the children’s playground from 4pm to 8pm.
Water sport shows will be performed on September 25 between 4pm and 6pm at the park. It will include fly board, jet ski and water boarding shows.
Aspire Zone Foundation organises a number of community events and activities throughout the year. It opens its advanced and well-equipped facilities for all community members, giving them the opportunity to practice their favourite sport and other physical activities.
