Qatar Motor and Motorcycling Federation (QMMF) president and FIA vice president Nasser Khalifa al-Attiyah will attend the opening of the 5th round of Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) in Cryprus on September 25.
With an entry list of 62 teams from Europe and Middle East, al-Attiyah stated that Cyprus Rally is unique in style and popularity.
“I would like to express my pleasure with the efforts carried out by the organisers in order to have a perfect sporting event; all thanks to them,” al-Attiyah said.
Post the opening of the Cyprus Rally, al-Attiyah will head to France to attend an FIA meeting.
On the agenda for the meeting are follow-ups of the plans of FIA Working Commissions, technical aspects, development plans, revisiting laws and regulations applied to our region, and discussion on introducing more FIA championships in the region.
