Aspetar committed to provide expertise to Qatar’s clubs, federations

As part of its leading National Sports Medicine Programme (NSMP), Aspetar – Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital – hosted a meeting with representatives from national sports clubs and federations on Tuesday at Torch hotel in Doha. The meeting activated communication between the programme and its stakeholders, and discussed topics of mutual interest that aim to elevate the level of health and physical fitness for national clubs and team players.
Through the NSMP, Aspetar provides medical care and support for national clubs and teams in their trainings and local/international competitions.
In his opening remarks, Dr Mohamed Ghaith al-Kuwari, Acting Director General of Aspetar, said: “Aspetar’s most qualified sports medicine experts always seek to develop and improve our services to fulfil our vision of becoming the world’s leading hospital in sports medicine. The hospital has achieved a number of qualitative leaps towards this in the past few years, and the NSMP is a fine example of that. We are delighted to host this meeting with Qatari clubs and federations, as it reflects our commitment to offer the best expertise to ensure that Qatar’s players are always leading the way.”
The meeting included a presentation on the latest developments in the NSMP, and discussed the services that Aspetar provides as part of the programme, where Aspetar officials executive director Riadh Miladi and deputy executive director of the programme Abdulrahman al-Qahtani exchanged opinions and suggestions with the clubs and federation representatives.
