Migrants and refugees wait under the sun at a railway station, near the official border crossing between Serbia and Croatia, in the eastern Croatian town of Tovarnik, yesterday. Migrants headed for Western-European countries have found a new route between countries to cross into the EU, after Hungarian authorities have physically closed its borders towards Serbia. Croatia said 8,000 migrants had entered the country from Serbia in little more than 24 hours, and more than 20,000 were expected over the next two weeks.
