HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani meets his Tajikistan counterpart Kokhir Rasulzoda yesterday.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday met at his Emiri Diwan Office Tajikistan Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda and his accompanying delegation.
The Emir reviewed with the Tajik premier relations between the two countries and ways of developing them as well as a number of issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
Sheikh Abdullah earlier held official talks with his Tajik counterpart.
During the session, the two sides reviewed the existing areas of co-operation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields in addition to regional and international issues of common concern.
The talks were attended by a number of ministers and the official delegation accompanying the Tajik leader.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Tajik prime minister and his accompanying delegation.
Later in the day, the Tajik prime minister and his accompanying delegation visited the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).
The prime minister toured various sections of the MIA where he was briefed on the contents including Islamic artefacts, relics, books, manuscripts and coins made of silver, copper and bronze as well as articles of glass, ivory, tissue, wood and precious stones which have been collected from three continents dating back to 14 centuries.
Rasulzoda listened to an explanation about MIA and its construction stages in addition to its role in disseminating science, culture and encouraging creativity and communication with arts and cultures of the world.
He also toured MIA’s exhibition hall which is currently home to “The Hunt” exhibition which highlights sport hunting as a hobby that kings of Islamic countries used to practice since early times.
Following the tour, the Tajik prime minister signed MIA honorary record praising its contents and collections representing the Islamic civilization and cultural heritage.
The prime minister was accompanied during the tour by Qatar’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali Mubark Said al-Mohannadi and Tajik Ambassador to Qatar Qodiri Ardasher.
