QDF names winner of $1mn prize draw

Abdulaziz al-Mass and Luis Gasset hold a cheque of $1mn for QDF’s 20th winner of the Millionaire Draw. Right: Al-Mass and Gasset draw the name of the winner of a Bentley Continental GT Speed.

Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has announced that the winner of its $1mn prize draw in September is Sudish Sukumaran, an Indian national.
Sukumaran is QDF’s 20th winner of the Millionaire Draw held at Hamad International Airport (HIA), Doha.
QDF has also announced that Abdullah al-Shareef, a Saudi national, has become the owner of a Bentley Continental GT Speed courtesy of its luxury car draw without even travelling to HIA, having purchased the winning ticket online at viawww.qatardutyfree.com.qa
Both prize draws were conducted at HIA and presided over by QDF’s vice-president of branded stores, Luis Gasset, and Hamad International Airport’s vice-president (commercial – HIA) Abdulaziz al-Mass.
The winning millionaire and luxury car tickets were numbered 3069 and 0511, respectively.
Sukumaran, who lives in Doha, said: “When I received information that I had won the prize, I immediately called my wife and family to share the wonderful moment with them. I will save the money for my children’s education; I want them to have the opportunity to complete their academic studies at the best schools and universities available. Thank you Qatar Duty Free for this amazing opportunity.”
Keith Hunter, senior vice-president of QDF, said: “Qatar Duty Free’s Millionaire Draw has created 20 extremely grateful millionaires in the past nine years. Together with the 147 luxury car draws we have completed, Qatar Duty Free has been able to create many special occasions for passengers travelling through Hamad International Airport. The next luxury car draw will be for a highly-desirable and rare Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, a highlight for 2015.”
“The QDF Millionaire Draw is a highly popular promotion with only 5,000 tickets sold for each prize draw, and has continued to generate tremendous response from passengers since its introduction in 2006,” according to a statement.
Future opportunities for departing and transit passengers to purchase USD Millionaire raffle tickets are also available online. For more details on how to win a luxury car, one can visit https://www.qatardutyfree.com.qa and buy a ticket from QDF.
