Djibouti Prime Minister Abdulqader Kamel Mohamed laid foundation stone for Doha Alkhair village funded by Qatar Charity at a cost of QR4mn.
The village includes 100 houses, a clinic, a mosque, an elementary school, a centre for stitching, water tanks and other facilities.
It is expected to help 1,200 poor and needy people in Djibouti who will benefit from this integrated residential project. The village is scheduled to be completed within a year.
In his keynote speech on the occasion, charge d’affaires at Qatar’s embassy in Djibouti Nasser bin KhamWis Ali al-Mansouri said that the project represents a great hope to dozens of families that will be able them to change their life and live in decent and suitable conditions, which will lead to create educated generation that contribute to local development more effectively.
