Hamad Medical Corporation has announced the work schedule of its hospitals and paediatric emergency centres for the Eid al-Adha holidays.
The Emergency Department at Hamad General Hospital as well as all Walk-in Clinics and Paediatric Emergency Centres across the country will be open as per normal operating hours during the holidays.
The Outpatient Department (OPD) at Women’s Hospital will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday and the Newborn Screening Unit will be closed on Thursday.
The Obstetrics High Risk Clinic, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Integrated Clinic and Feto-Maternal Unit Clinic will be open from September 27 to 29 from 8am to 1pm. All other Women’s Hospital OPD clinics will be closed from September 27 to 29, resuming normal operations on September 30.
The Emergency Department and pharmacy service will operate as per normal hours throughout the Eid holidays.
The Heart Hospital’s Outpatient Department will be closed from Wednesday to Saturday. Clinics will resume normal operations on Sunday, September 27. OPD Pharmacy will be open for discharging prescriptions on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5pm and from 1pm to 5pm on Friday and Saturday. Normal operations will resume on Sunday, September 27.
The Inpatient Pharmacy will operate as per normal hours throughout the Eid holidays. The hospital’s radiology services will continue to operate 24/7 during the holidays but prior approval for some services like X-ray, computed tomography scan, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound and nuclear medicine may be required.
Al Wakra Hospital’s General OPD, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy will be closed from Wednesday to Saturday and will reopen on Sunday, operating from 7 am to 3 pm until October 1. Normal working hours will resume on October 4.
The National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) OPD and Day Care Unit will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. The OPD Pharmacy will be open on Wednesday from 7am to 3 pm but will be closed on Thursday and Friday. All other services will operate as usual.
Al Khor Hospital’s OPD, including Obstetrics/Gynecology and Dental Clinics, will be closed from Wednesday to Monday, September 28. Additionally, OPD evening clinics will be closed until Sunday. Any patient who requires urgent care or refill of medications during the holidays is advised to proceed directly to the Emergency Department.
The Cuban Hospital’s OPD, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy Departments will be closed from Wednesday to Saturday and will be open from September 27 to October 1, 7 am to 3 pm.
The Emergency Department, including its pharmacy, will remain open throughout the Eid holidays. Booked surgical procedures have not been cancelled; patients are advised to contact the hospital if they wish to reschedule a booked procedure due to the Eid holidays.
