HH the Emir also received a number of congratulation cables on the occasion from leaders of several countries.
The Emir also received a cable of greetings from HE the Advisory Council Speaker Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
Al-Khulaifi wished the Emir good health and success, and wished the Qatari people prosperity under his wise leadership.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also exchanged cables of congratulations with heads of government of the Arab and Islamic countries.
Saudi king greeted on National Day

Haj panel meeting
Qatar will host the next co-ordinating meeting of Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) Haj missions in February. This was announced during the annual meeting of GCC Haj missions that was held at the headquarters of the Bahrain Haj mission in Makkah and was attended by Qatar Haj mission chief president Dr Abdulsalam Ali al-Qahtani.
