Minister of Economy and Commerce (MEC) HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani held talks with heads of a number of major American companies at a round table organised in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in New York on Monday. The meeting discussed areas of cooperation and investment opportunities in Qatar and the United States. The programme was arranged on the sidelines of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly currently underway in New York. Among those present included HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani, chairman of Qatar Chamber, and a number of Qatari businessmen, senior officials of the American Chamber of Commerce and Dana Smith, US Ambassador in Doha.
