Thundershowers and strong winds are expected in parts of the country today, the Met Office has said. The wind speed will reach 25kt in some places. Offshore areas will experience winds of up to 20kt. Places where rain is expected include Al Ruwais (with thunder), Dukhan and Abu Samra. Doha, Al Khor and Mesaieed are likely to remain dry and sunny. It will be hazy at places and hot during the day, along with a chance of local cloud development in some areas with rain and thunder, the Weather Office said. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the country are expected to be 27C and 42C respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 31C and 39C.
