Doha

Ooredoo has announced that customers will be able to pre-order the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which will be launched in Qatar on October 10, this week.

Customers can now pre-register their interest in the devices via the Ooredoo eShop and will be able to pre-order and pay for the phones on Friday, so that they can collect their new devices on the day of the launch.

“Ooredoo has an exciting event planned on the day of the launch, where customers can be among the first in Qatar to get their hands on the devices,” the company said in a statement.

Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of public & community relations at Ooredoo, said: “Ooredoo is a proud partner of Apple and we know that our customers are eagerly anticipating the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. We’ve designed the Ooredoo Supernet to provide incredible coverage and speed for state-of-the-art devices like these, so that people in Qatar can get the most out of this new wave of innovation.”

Ooredoo is an official distributor of Apple iPhones in Qatar, and the “strong connection between the two companies means that customers can enjoy the latest software upgrades, and also the security of a one-year guarantee for iPhones”, the statement notes.

The company has also confirmed that it will have stock available in stores in response to significant customer demand in Qatar, as well all pre-orders.

The new iPhones are 4G+ enabled, allowing customers to get the most out of the Ooredoo Supernet.

Anyone who pre-orders the phone on Friday will receive an SMS and email message, inviting them to come to a selected Ooredoo branch and pick up their reserved device.

Qatar is one of the region’s most dynamic markets for Apple products, with the previous launch, iPhone 6, becoming one of the best-selling smartphones in Qatar’s history.
