Here’s some good news for fans of Manny Pacquiao. The 32-year-old Filipino boxing pro will grace the Boxing Worlds in Doha during the championship. He may also feature in an exhibition bout which, though, is not confirmed yet.
Qatar Boxing Federation president Yousef Ali al-Kazim confirmed that the Filipino boxer will be in Doha sometime later this week. “He will be here either on October 8 or 9, but there’s no confirmation on any exhibition bout yet. He has a big fan following in this part of the world and his visit, I am sure, will be a fillip to the event.”
There were also reports that American boxing legend Mike Tyson will pay a visit to Doha during the Boxing Worlds. “Yes, he too is likely to be there but we haven’t got a final confirmation yet on his plans. But we are hopeful to get a confirmation in the next two-three days,” the QBF chief added.
