Doha: Qatar were held to a 0-0 draw by Yemen in their final Group A at the WAFF U-23 championship at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium yesterday. The hosts finished with seven points from three matches and topped the group, securing a semi-final berth in the inaugural edition of this regional event. Qatar had beaten Jordan and Palestine.
The semi-finals of the event will take place Saturday, while the title clash will be held on October 14.
