Ahlibank names winner of QR1mn prize draw for Q3

Ahlibank has announced the winner of its Al Rabeh Savings Scheme QR1mn third quarter prize draw.
The winner, Essam Shaltaf, who has been with Ahlibank since 2013, said: “I am very happy to receive the QR1mn prize from Ahlibank. My relative advised me to join the Al Rabeh Savings Scheme for a chance to win prizes and at the same time save my money.
“This QR1mn prize has been a great return on my investment.  I will be re-investing my winnings and increasing my investment in the Al Rabeh Savings Scheme.”
Shaltaf added, “I recommend everyone to join this innovative savings scheme, not only for the chance to win cash prizes but also to enjoy the outstanding customer service offered by Ahlibank. I am very proud of the transparent and highly-professional banking relationship I have with Ahlibank.”
The Al Rabeh Savings Scheme reward structure offers a range of cash prizes with 93 draws in 2015, including (weekly) 10 customers winning QR5,000 and one customer taking home QR15,000 in the grand weekly draw; (monthly) three customers winning QR100,000 in the grand monthly draw; (quarterly) one customer winning QR1mn in the quarterly draw; and every year to mark National Day, a QR1mn winner is announced.
Ahlibank deputy CEO for retail banking Andrew McKechnie said, “We want to congratulate Mr Shaltaf, the latest winner of the quarterly QR1mn prize draw. We have created more than 50 millionaires since the scheme was launched.
“We are delighted to learn that Mr Shaltaf intends to both re-invest his winnings and increase his investment, which is a great vote of confidence in the Al Rabeh Savings Scheme.
“The Al Rabeh Savings Scheme helps customers manage their savings with a chance to win cash prizes every week, month, quarter and annually (National Day draw) and retain flexibility to access funds when they need them. This is a truly unique product in Qatar as only Qatar residents are eligible. The scheme will also provide 469 cash prizes this year.”
Hassan al-Frangi, head of retail banking services, said: “It was my pleasure to present the cheque for QR1mn to Mr Shaltaf, a valuable customer of our Umm Lekhba branch, and to learn how he intends to grow his relationship with Ahlibank as we continue to deliver great products and services to our customers and be at the heart of the community.”
Ahlibank customers are eligible for entry into the prize draw by depositing QR500 for a minimum of seven days in either an Al Rabeh Savings Account or by investing in a savings certificate (This is the shortest qualifying period and the lowest balance required for a bank prize draw of this kind).
Customers with an Al Rabeh Savings Account have the chance to enter the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual draws – with an additional prize draw entry for each QR500 invested. They also enjoy regular interest on their savings. Additionally, customers can take part by purchasing Al Rabeh Savings Certificates in QR500 units from any Ahlibank branch.
