General Manager of Katara Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti holding talks with Tunisian ambassador to Qatar Salah al-Salhi

General Manager of Katara Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti met Tunisian ambassador to Qatar Salah al-Salhi and discussed the possibility of organising a Tunisian event in the cultural village.
Al-Salhi praised Katara’s efforts to promote cultural ties between peoples, expressing hope that the Tunisian event will be an occasion to showcase the country’s culture and will further develop relations between Qatar and Tunisia.
Meanwhile, al-Sulaiti also met Hungarian ambassador to Qatar Istvan Elter to discuss the arrangements for the production of an adaptation for theatre of a Hungarian film entitled Cats’ Play.
The film was written by Istvan Orkeny and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1975.
The ambassador said that Katara is a perfect place to present a Hungarian cultural event that will attract a variety of audiences.
Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti welcomed the proposals of cultural co-operation which would contribute to building bridges of communication between peoples and cultures.
He said that Katara has become a key destination for visitors, senior diplomats and audiences, adding that proposals for the Tunisian and Hungarian cultural events will be discussed.
