HEC Paris will conduct a Masterclass tomorrow at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Student Centre.
This is in conjunction with HEC Paris’ participation in the two-day “Discover Education City” event being hosted by Qatar Foundation (QF) from tomorrow.
Discover Education City is an annual event that provides students with information on the undergraduate and graduate programmes being offered at HBKU and partner universities.
On the occasion, Prof Jaideep Anand, distinguished professor of strategy, will share insights on “Good Strategy, Bad Strategy: Connecting Strategies to Value Creation”.
Prof Anand will help participants learn how to analyse business strategies that drive company success. During the session, cutting-edge strategies that have turned into extraordinary successes will be examined. This will expose frameworks that may help firms gain the desired strategic advantage.
Through the application of these ideas and frameworks, participants of the Masterclass will be able to analyse businesses and learn guiding principles to improve performance.
“Strategic thinking is a planning process aimed at developing business strategies that present a high potential for success,” said Prof Laoucine Kerbache, dean and CEO of HEC Paris in Qatar. “It intends to provide answers on what business organisations should be doing and why, in order to ensure that they are linked to clearly defined business priorities.
“Through the guidance of Prof Anand, a expert on the subject, participants of the Masterclass will gain valuable knowledge on strategic thinking. They will learn how to apply and maximise this tool as they map out a path that will lead to the realisation of the growth objectives within their respective business organisations.”
Prof Anand’s areas of expertise include corporate growth, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures & strategic alliances, global strategy and strategy implementation.
